The Board of County Commissioners meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month for Regular Meetings and on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month for Work Sessions. RELOCATION OF THE TERRAIN PARK AND SUPERPIPE - The current terrain park on Canaan Trail and the Superpipe on Upper Forest Queen Trail would be relocated to the Cascade Trail in the Gold Link Lift pod. Implementation of this relocation would require the addition of 12 snowmaking hydrant sites to the current snowmaking line on Cascade Trail and removal of some trees on the Cascade Trail. This relocation would address skier safety concerns in the Paradise Lift pod, create more Intermediate terrain in the Paradise pod, generate more skier utilization of the underutilized Gold Link lift pod, make more efficient use of snowmaking equipment, and improve the efficiency of terrain management by having these features on the same ski run. At the end of ski season, CBMR would push out the snow used to make these features to private land owned by CBMR at the bottom of Cascade trail. REALIGNMENT OF THE LOWER WESTSIDE MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL - The new trail alignment would incorporate about .5 miles of the existing Lower Westside trail and approximately one mile of new trail construction. Unutilized sections of the existing trail would be reclaimed. The current Lower Westside trail has steep grades and does not drain water efficiently thus causing trail erosion and gully-like conditions. Because of the steep grades and erosion most riders are using the existing ski area road system which is causing safety concerns and increased congestion at the cattle guard on Warming House Trail. A realigned Lower Westside Trail would connect the base area to the recently completed Westside Trail above the Westwall Lift and create an uphill bike opportunity from the base area.
